Backpacking: This trail leads to the Floe Lake backcountry campground and is the southernmost access point for the popular Rockwall Trail, multi-day route. The Floe Lake Campground is the most popular backcountry campground in Kootenay National Park, so book as soon as the reservation period opens each year. Once at the lake basin, the trail stayed in the forest for another quarter mile, staying in the trees to the north of the lake.
